History
Jonathan Luiten grew up in the insurance industry. At an early age, he went to work for a large broker, advancing from “Autoplan expert” to Director of Sales over 18 years, all while completing university and starting a family. Today, he lives in Langley with his three children and is an active community member.
Jonathan wishes to bring his passion for customer care to the front lines of the insurance experience and is excited to show you what Valiant has to offer.

Jonathan has been working in the general insurance industry since 1997, with a focus on commercial and business insurance since 2002. Dedicated to enhancing the customer experience and helping clients navigate the insurance world, Jonathan has developed expertise in industries including Construction, Manufacturing, Forestry, and Hospitality, with a solid understanding of the unique risks faced by all types of businesses.

Rosanne Baartman
With years of experience in the insurance industry, Rosanne recently achieved her Level 2 insurance license and is thrilled to join the team at Valiant. In her role, she contributes to daily operations, HR, office management, and personal lines initiatives, bringing a fresh perspective and dedication to her work.
Currently pursuing her CAIB designation, Rose balances her professional ambitions with a vibrant personal life. When she’s not advancing her career, she loves spending quality time with her children and partner, playing soccer with her teammates at Aldergrove Soccer Club, cuddling her senior cat, Gimili, and enjoying the outdoors with her 2 year old rescue pup, Crosby.

Hailey Milne
Born and raised in Fort Langley, Hailey brings local insight and a connection to the community she proudly serves.
With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, she’s built a career focused on helping clients find confidence and clarity in their coverage. Specializing in auto and personal lines, she earned her Level 1 license from the Insurance Council of BC in 2015, followed by a Level 2 license in 2019, and has remained committed to staying knowledgeable and approachable every step of the way.
In 2025, she joined Valiant Insurance, excited to bring her expertise to a new chapter in her career while expanding into business and commercial insurance.
Outside the office Hailey is an avid outdoors enthusiast – whether it’s hiking local trails or spending time training her energetic German Shepherd, Maverick. These everyday adventures serve as a grounding reminder of the importance of patience and dedication, values that echo through both her personal life and professional approach.

Curtis Doucette
With nine years in the insurance industry, Curtis brings both experience and genuine care to every client conversation. Beginning his career in auto insurance, he built a strong foundation helping clients protect their vehicles before expanding his expertise into home insurance. Known for his approachable nature, Curtis enjoys connecting with people and making insurance simple and stress-free.
Curtis joined Valiant in 2025, drawn to the brokerage’s community focus and personal approach to client care. He is currently working towards his CAIB designation and is excited about learning more about business and commercial insurance.
Outside of work, Curtis enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their two dogs, whether they’re out camping or restoring cars

Team Assistant
Maki
Maki provides round-the-clock floofy pets, licks and snuggles to our staff and clients. When’s she’s not, she’s simply doing absolutely nothing else but laying around and being cute.
She is not working towards any insurance licensing, nor does she do any other work … because she’s a dog and she’s not that smart. She is cute though. Did we mention the cuteness? Maki is a rescue from LAPS (Langley Animal Protection Society), one of our favourite charities to support every year.
